Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I just got the Ardent Smart Cull today from TW. Very cool! I was a little skeptical on how the number system would work, but you have to press a button to engage them to move, so it seems like it will work well. I'm excited to try these out.

Anyone else use these?

Ive been looking at them for a couple weeks now. Looks like an awesome product.
Let us know how they work, my buddy and I have also been looking at them.
I just got mine yesterday and they look pretty cool. I like the fact that that the dials are in the floating balls. I did notice one flaw though, if you catch a limit of fish that weigh over 16lbs each you have no way of telling them apart.

I was using a similar product that attaches to the underside of the livewell lid but the foam on the inside of my Triton livewell lid was not allowing it to stick properly. I will be giving it away.

Quick question Eric- why would you need a culling system?

A limit of fish 16 lbs each?......you should aim a little lower there Eric and try for a 16 pound limit first......you might get there one day.

You got me again Jeff. There was no possible way my comment about catching a 90lb five fish limit was meant to be facetious (look it up).
Just out of curiousity what is the biggest limit you have weighed in an open tourney in this state?
I have 21.1lbs (2002 ABA Lk WA), 22.36lbs (2003 ABA Lk WA), 22.89lbs (2004 ABA Lk WA)
So what you got big boy?

Boy do we have a tough crowd here Mr. DeLay!

When I saw these on Monster's website a year ago or so I thought they would be amazing. I however have no real need for a tournament culling system, only hopes to fish a tournament. The question I had was on their durability. Are they hard plastic? If you were to drop one of them, would you risk breaking them into little pieces? Can you buy singles if one was to break? All just questions
The guys on Tackletour.com put these through the test and they passed with flying colors. I will be getting some soon.
I got mine for an xmas gift.Although I never get to cull it's still a cool system !!!
So you can fish Lake Washington....you are on it every freakin day. I will defend Jeff here for a second. I don't know the answer to your question entirely but I was with him when we weighed 21.14 at Nixons Moses Lake Open in 08. I have no clue as to the rest of Jeff's wiehgt's but I believe he was making a joke in his original response you thin skinned sissy pants.

This is definitely an excellent product. I have culled many times with them and they work great. Very durable, precise, no mistakes, and very easy to use.
