I know that there have been a couple of big bass format tournies on Lake Washington a few years back. Despite a pretty decent payout as I remember it seemed that they were only marginally successful. I personally like a 3 fish limit tourney. I would like to see some big fish type tournies but I am not sure Lake Washington is the right place for such an event.
Im not sure if i would go as far as referring to washington state as a "big bass fishery" . That is proberly why no such events are held out here IMO !!

I believe it is all relative. Sure we don't have 10 pounders here caught such as places like texas but the idea of the format can be the same can't it? I think it just sounds like fun to have a format like this where there are hourly weigh ins.
Sorry Dez but I don't see where I stated at all that Washington State is a "big bass fishery".

Sorry Mark , I wasnt referring to your statement bud, im just saying in general that i think its weird to have a big bass tourney when over 75% of the bass brought to scales out here are only 2-3.50lbs !! Yea im proberly a little bias on the topic because iv fished in southern states that put on these same kind of events .

In all fairness, the weights at Moses, Lake Washington, Potholes, Columbia River, etc. are pretty competetive with 90% of the country....

Does that 90% reflect mainly LMB only ??? That plays a big part into the comparison of different states

I was referring to tournament limit weights just for clarity. Regardless of whether you are looking at spots, smallmouth or largemouth, the weights at these bodies of water throughout the year rival a large percentage of the country.
