Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Ok, last year I did a filming with Mike Carey on Lake Sammamish with bedding smallies. This year we are doing a winter smallie filming on Lake Washington. The east channel has cleared up nicely and the smallies have been hitting. I will be doing both Rev Rigging and leadhead's with big baits as the focus of the filming. I will make sure to get some video of the water temps, depth's and what I am showing Mike on the graph.
Hope the smallies cooperate with the thoughts of 3 to 5 fish being caught. Enuf to make a decent video. Once it is done, and I get a copy I will post it here if possible.

Cool,
Thanks for sharing Mark. I'd go with you to do some filming too :-) for the purpose of the site of course...

I'll be on wawa and samm this weekend, so I'll try to do some filming this weekend too.
Cool Duece,
Let's load the site up with sum sic smallie action in the winter. Hopefully the fish will cooperate, and Mike and I can bang a couple of nice ones.

This should be awesome. Glad to see a imformative winter smallie video coming, instead of a tutorial of how to pull fish off beds so every meat eater can give it a shot. :)
Thanks Cris, glad I could help you out with your meat fishing last year. How did those smallies taste.

If it takes a tutorial to trick smallies on the beds to hit a lure, a lot of folks are gonna go hungry. I can fill a freezer in a day. Now the winter fishing diet is a different story. I am starving!!
Looking Forward to this , hopefuly we can get a few fish to join us in the boat ..lol ..i just check the forecast and at this point we are expecting good conditions , but this is seattle so i never get my hopes up too high .. cant wait to see the final cut !!
So the weather was awesome today, however, it made for very tough fishing conditions. We started the morning off right. First 15 mins, and Mike Carey nails a 5+lbs smallie on a dropshot. I miss a bite and then nothing for awhile. Move to a couple new spots nothing. Move to Coleman pt. and another bass boat joins us and they nail a 3lb 13oz smallie in 32 ft. we keep fishing and nothing. Break out the rev rigs and I go about 50yds and boom, lock up on a nice fish. Big trout about 3 to 4lbs. Go another 50 yrds and Mike nails and trout. 10mins later and dez misses a fish. And then another trout. They tore us up all day. The expert ( ha ha ) smallie guy finishes out the day with 6 trout total. Plus a few missed trout. So we go all day with just the one huge smallie and go to the last spot and Mike proceeds to get a 4.5 lb and a 3lb in the last ten minutes and Dez and I finished our pathetic performance by killing two squaw fish. But with the action we had it still should produce a decent video. Mike will take a few days to edit and then post it on WashingtonLakes.com

Right on Mark. Look forward to seeing the video.

I bet Mike was happy he had such a proffesional guide today...that's a great day for the begining of Feb. What are your rates?
