Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Here's a good read on lure color from a group up in Canada. My personal experience would suggests that this is probably the case in most scenarios, but I probably speak for many of us here when I say that we've all had that day where the "one" color was the deal right?

A great angler once told me there are only two colors. Light...& Dark. Not sure where green pumpkin fits into that...

Am I the only one who hates chartreuse on my spinnerbaits?
If this is true....I'll never admit it!
I'm not a huge fan of the chartreuse spinnerbait either snake. Even tho I know it works. I catch myself just fishing white and switching up the blades.

Those are CANADIAN Bass.  Nothing make any sense in Canada.  They were probably catching Dolly Vardon or Pike and just assumed they were Bass.  Crazy Canucks.

But, seriously... I take a lot of people out fishing, some for their very first trip.  Many times I'll have like 2 guys fishng in the boat with me.  I'll give one Watermelon Candy Senkos, and the other Green Pumpkin/Black Flake, and I'll use like Watermelon.  ALWAYS...one color kills it over the other 2 inevitably, so I'm not sure why they had different results.  Maybe Canadian bass on that lake don't have the "Senko pressure" like we have, so they just suck up anything that's the right shape and fall rate????

Pressured versus non pressured fish can make a difference

I'm with you Ron. It's highly likely that these guys were fishing a lake that had little to no pressure - a la Bill Dance style.

I think when you are playing ring around the rock pile on Sammamish or fishing Coleman point on lake washington with 5-8 of your buddies at the winter tournaments it probably plays a bigger role.
