Is there any method to your madness, or is it simply just chucking. Right now that seems very easy to me. If you dont mind me asking, what is ~TeamGrippinLipps~? Do you have a website for your crew? Having a crew for SB'ing is ~ how say you ~ muy caliente. What do you like best about the Tru~Life~Trout SB and the BBZ's. I dont have any experience with them, so I would like to hear your take since you highly recommend them. You also mentioned before that the 6" Weedless Hudds in Trout and Perch pattern were a bit small. Why do you say that, do they catch alot of small dinkies? Since they are small, do you have any of the 8" Hudds? I think those will produce muy grande bass. I think those are perfect for the MOJO ~ what do you think?

Muchas Gracias TGL~BB

Alright Dez,..Juan,..TeamGrippinLipps is a crew that focuses on SB~Bassin whenever the conditions are right for it,..we do have a website under contruction at the moment {www.teamgrippinlipps.com} that in the future we will be selling Custom~Painted hard plastic SB's in various sizes and patterns whatever the customer desires. Allot of the SB Bass we all nailed last season were on shallow lakes focusing on Top~Water over grass and wead beds,..late in summer in the early afternoon till about 6-7pm,..we threw many Floating SB's from BBZ's,..Tru~Life Blugill,..Daiwa Dead or Alive,..Frog Baits,..Jerry Rago Delta Rat Baits,..Lunker Punker,..3:16 Real Deal,..and many many more,..we also custom made some BuzzBaits and the Bass ate them up.
The main reason I decided 2 go with the Tru~Life Trout this season is because this bait CAN be fished at various depths by adding or subtracting the Tungsten Balls in the Bladder Chamber of the bait so that it can be fished in different water columns depending on what the Bass are telling you,..this bait allows the Basser 2 actually save $$ by only having 2 purchase one bait that will do it all,..so I personally chose this for myself,..as far as the 6" Weedless Hudds,..it's not that they catch dinks but I wish they came out with an 8" bait 2,..after all most of the "Trout~Stocked" lakes are stocked with 8" Trout,..I actually think the Perch Pattern will do better on most lakes I bass on but one never knows. When I SB Bass my methods change depending on what the Bass are telling me,..if I'm using a Trout Pattern SB then my retieve will be pretty steady as this is how the Trout actually swim,..some others I'll use a stop and pause and even some I'll dead stick for a minute or 2 then vary the retieve,..again it just depends on what the Bass are doing. I've been a big fan of the BBZ since I started SB~Bassin 2 years ago,..Bill Siemantel is an AWESOME Angler and his book "Big Bass Zone" is a must read if you like SB Bassin,..his baits are well designed,..life like action and durable,..also relatively inexspensive. I feel though that if you're gonna start chuckin some BIGBAITS you better have the gear 2 do it with,..it's allot of work and very tiring if you're not using the correct gear,..also the Quantity of Bass caught may not be as good as the Quality of Bass caught. For the beginner SB~Basser that Mojo Rod is a good buy,..it's rated for 2-6oz baits and that gives you a plethora of baits to choose from just stay with a low ratio baitcaster when seating a reel on it. If your gonna start SB~Bassin just stay on the Humps~Points~Creek Channels~Ridges and Flats these are the places where fish like 2 be so you should be there 2,..one thing about BIG~BAITS is they have a tendency 2 pull BIGBASS out from where they once were,..they may only follow and not commit but if that does happen then you know you're doing something right,..they are great tools but not magical,..if you get a follow and no take down then you have 2 be versatile enough 2 throw something else at them,..well I've said enough,..Jaun I hope you land a TROPHY when you're out there bro,..remember 2 just stick with it and don't let the size of a BIGBAIT intimidate you. You first mention you do "SB~Bassin whenever the conditions are right for it". Since I am still new to the game, when is the best time to SB? Is there a best time to SB? If there is an ideal time, what is the ideal lure? I just went through your site {www.teamgrippinlipps.com}. I cant wait to see the SBs you produce. Do you have any pictures of any of your past or current work? I would be nice to see some of that. Once I do get into the SB game, you might have a customer. Are they the same quality of the frog~baits I have read about. How can I get some of those baits off of you? Thats awesome you nailed some bass last season. How many did you nail exactly? Which SB was your most productive one? Nice to see a fellow Mexican brother doing goon on SB. Can you please post pictures of your catches? It would give us alot of incentive to follow in your footsteps. You mention you throw "Top~Water over grass and wead bedsm Floating SB's from BBZ's,..Tru~Life Blugill,..Daiwa Dead or Alive,..Frog Baits,..Jerry Rago Delta Rat Baits,..Lunker Punker,..3:16 Real Deal" and thats seems like a handful for me right now. Do you throw that all with a single setup? How does the GLommis 955 with a Daiwa Luna handle all these types of baits? I think if I want to throw these baits, I might as well go for broke and get a GLommis 955. You have given me some great insight about following what the bass are telling you. Do you notice certain patterns last year, did they tell you the same story throughout the year? I have yet to learn how to read bass properly, but I am assuming they are speaking a different language. If the 6" Weedless Hudds are too small for our lakes because they are often stocked with 8" Trout, then can we assume the ideal size is 8" for Washington State lakes? This would help me as I internet window shop for my SB arsenal. What lakes do you think the Perch pattern would work best? Would you ever throw a Perch pattern in a non Perch lake? If I use a Perch SB, what would be my retrieve, as I do not really know how a Perch swims. Do they swim like a Trout? I do not catch Trout, but it is nice to know someone here knows how they swam. That is a great tip to follow, because if you match the hatch, might as well swim the swam. You are dead on about Bill! His book is a must read! I havent read the whole thing yet, but I wish there was a video instead of the book. It would make things a whole lot easier. "Humps~Points~Creek Channels~Ridges and Flats these are the places" is right out of the book, so it must be working if you have been following it. Why do you mention a low ratio baitcaster? I am confusing on this.

Gracias

Good~info,...just{hard}to~read,..when~Written~THIS,...{way}

Well will have to hook up some time soon so you can see how a California does it
I have catch many many many big bass on swimbait. But BassinBomer and Juan make me very more confusing.
I agree Kimihiko- I'm more confused than ever. I don't see where bomber ever answered Des's question about big bass ever being caught. Everything I read looks like it came out of a book or was quoting someone.
I just don't understand who do they think they are kidding? If you want to catch a lot of good fish you should not be throwing a 8'' or even 6'' Swimbait all the time it's just idiotic! I am not surprised at the lack of answer to Dez's comment because if all this "Team" throws is swimmers there are probably very few pics of them catching Bass because Bass require an angler to be versatile and adaptive. Tag speaks from experience and gives helpful advice based on real fish catches. His time spent on the water learning and becoming a very skilled and versatile angler is what gives him credibility and knowledge, he does not need some "team" or crew for validation. I am just amused by this whole discussion it is very comical. Missy My Man ;)
I agree with you 100%. Ive got the emails to prove it!
