Swimbait season is almost here!
I think most of us been caught up in the swimbait craze. I personally have a bunch that I haven't even used yet. I was buying them on e-bay just so Sessler couldn't have them. It was awesome.
I have had some success with a few of them. My favorites are the 6" Huddleston, the Huddleston Shad, and the Triple Trout ( I acutally used a 7"/ 4 piece version).
This year I hope to start catching them on the Basstrix Paddle Tail Tube type baits, the Mattlures Hard Bluegill, the SPRO BBZ Shad (they are sweet looking), the Tru Tungsten shad, and a few more.
What are your favorite swimbaits and what new baits are you looking forward to catching them on this year?

Love the Tru-Tungsten 8" Gill. Looking forward to catching a fish on the floating BBZ this year as well as the MS Slammer 3 piece and of course I can't wait to try out the Lunker Punker.

Can't wait.
I don’t know, I have a swimbait that friend made for me, it is beautiful, almost too pretty to fish with! He makes tons of baits and they are all great, but I have been throwing this for a year and have caught ONE bass with it! Now that fish was over 4 pounds, but he hit it as soon as it hit the water, so it could have been a brick for all he knew! I am looking at the Hollow Body swim baits from Berkley, I have some on order!
I'm looking to catch some fish on the weedless hudds, 8 inch hudds, Mattlures Hard Gill, Lunker punkers, Big Hammers, hollow bodies, Wake Jr's, Spro shad and TT 4 inch, MS Slammers, and more that I can't think of right now. Got alot on my plate.
Looking to fish the weird stuff more this yr. Bettencourt magum rat, the custom 13" snake, 6" Rago delta rat, Also looking to hook up on some mission fish still - hopefully as I fish more jigs it will be a more viable option.
Price is not an issue when I have an opportunity to crush your hopes and dreams.
Now answer the questions punk. Or I will feed you to Woo's hogs.

My favorites are the ones that I beat Delay out of on Ebay!!

Oh the other favorite is the ones I drove the price up on Ebay that Delay bought...
I have a couple of limited edition baits on the way right now. I am not supposed to say anything about them but I will post a picture when I get the green light from the guy who makes them. All I can say is they are AWESOME and Jon won't have any. LMAO
now a subject i like

almost here? :) on our boat it never ends [then again we dont fish year around - yet atleast]. just got done testing out some new rods and lures, and left the lake with a pretty $100+ bill.

some of the major players we support are 22nd century, 316, abt, baitsmith, black dog baits, huddleston, ms slammer, natesbaits, rago, river2sea, tru tungstun. there maybe more, but i dont have 20/20 memory.

in retrospect when it comes to swimbaits - we have either seen it, tried it, or use it.

i would like to get my hands on a 12inch hudd, triple troot, or any of those pounders, so i can brake some muskie teeth.
I have some awesome looking new Lucky Craft hard swimbaits I'm anxious to try, as well as many others including several models of Reaction Strike swimbaits, Matt's Lures, Basstrix, Triple Trouts, etc. So many lures, so little time. My biggest problem is that during tournament season it is hard to test these lures out as I'm always competing instead of experimenting. I'm actually going to practice using some of these swimbaits this weekend on American Lake instead of fishing the Open on Sammamish.

ciao,
Marc
Im pretty new to swimbait fishing. I really am looking forward to experimenting with some 8" hudd. deluxes, Castaic Catch 22's, KGM TW Swimmers, River2Sea S Wavers, and Jackall Giron's. I have recently been knocking them dead on the hollow body style baits. Got some basstrix to try and been doing well on the money minnow.
Im looking fwd most towards the Rago Magnum Rat. Sick wake action on that hairy beast! Ive done well on all swimbaits Ive thrown but non compare to the Lunker Punker! MS Slammer be a close second. The only ones I have not done well on is the RS swimbaits just because of reliability and they dont swim well at slow speeds, and slow is key. Every one Ive had was pure garbage(not tryin to sound harsh but its reality).
Ive done really really well on paddletails but to me its not a big fish bait, its a numbers bait. If I think Im going to throw a spinnerbait, I throw a paddletail, but even then I dont tie it on much. Ive used almost every brand out there. Basstrix and Berkeley perform the best by far.

I always tell everyone I talk to about swimbaits the same thing. DO NOT buy cheap ones for the sake of saving a little cash. I have wasted a lot of money on knock-offs, just to turn around and buy the expensive, proven baits. Seriously, if you buy $15 baits, you get exactly that, $15 worth of poop. I dont mean 4" shads or paddletails, Im talkin 8"+ baits. Hopefully someone will take note and not waste cash like I did a few years ago.
The new Sebille's are pretty nice in the water..
I have an agreement with the guy who makes them not to post anything on any forums. I am not sure why he said not to, but I'll check with him after I get them. If he says it's OK I'll put up some pictures.
