I think I am sticking to my club in Bellingham this year. We have two opens on Whatcom I am planning on doing for my bigger tournaments and possibly another open or two on Washington or Sammamish or something. I want to start getting into ABA or NWBass or something bigger but I have to save money this year as I work for Skagit County and we already have a projected 3 million dollar shortfall in the general fund this year! Im the newest addition in my department and we already skated by the first round of layoffs without being touched. Its pretty scary right now! Once things settle down though I am going to try and get into some bigger tournaments. A slow boat and budget scares I think are good enough excuses to keep practicing and learning for another year.

My wife will be working most weekends so I'll be watching the girls. Yet another season of very little fishing....

As far as tournaments go, I am looking forward to watching Abbottola and Hobbs on FSN.

I think I will get the award for most money wasted. Since I consider myself a decent bass angler at best, I will be giving charity at the following events:

1) NW Bass on Wa.
2)TBF Qualifiers
3)Mickelson open on Wa.
4)Club tourny's. Anywhere from 3-5 tourny's depending on how crazy i want to go.

All this with a wife and 2 year old at home. I'm going to need some ear plugs to block out her whining about me fishing to much. All those tourny's and that doesn't account for prefishin or just plain fishin for fun.

Here is how it looks for me this year:
FLW Western Series, Columbia River (co-angler)
NWBASS: 4 events, 2 with Dez, 1 with my freind Jon, and 1 with my buddy Levi.
FLW Qualifiers: Going to give it a shot as a boater this year
Lake Sammamish Open
Potholes Open
Valley Marine Open (We will see if I can afford the trip after all the previous tournaments!!)

My schedule this year if all goes well:

Silver Lake Open
NW Bass - full circuit plus championship
ABA - East and West plus championship
Triton Owners - CA
Banks Lake Jamboree
Banks Scholarship
Frostbite
FLW National Guard - CoAngler at the Delta and maybe the Columbia if it isn't during my cherry harvest. I did it on the Columbia last year and learned quite a bit.
Also some club tourneys when they don't interfere with any of the above.

I will be fishing with WCCT for all of them unless he is not able to make it. Then I'll fish alone or with my dad.
