Where are you fishing?

Well, the postspawn is basically here! Yay! Not really, but where are you all going to fish this weekend? If I wasn't a tournament fisherman, I would choose an area that still had fish in the spawn. Fortunatley, being in Washington, we can find areas like that through July. Well, I'll be on the river by Tri Cities, how about you?

When does the spawn generally occur upriver around Coyote Rapids? I'll be bluegill fishing with my girls.....yay!

Well Roosevelt is a ways from the spawn yet, water was 51-52F yesterday. I did catch 50-60 fish, and some of the larger ones crushed my crankbait so that is a good sign. If anyone comes up here, you might want to lower the speed a little bit, there is enough wood in the lake to rebuild japan. Hitting a telephone pole size log at any speed won't be good.

Hit Potholes over the weekend. That place still intimidates me a lot as far as the largemough go but I got a handful of nice largemouth on swimbaits, a big accidental smallmouth on a frog, and one giant largemouth on a senko. Mix that in with the fun times of the poker run and BBQing on Big Dune and I would definitely call it a fun weekend!!

That's the same fish I caught at last years poker run ;) Awesome job dude I think I've forgot how to catch a Largemouth!

You didn't forget, you were just distracted..haha! The poker run is all about just going out and having fun! You know Potholes very well and I know for a fact that if you would have gone there just to fish you would have torn them up!! Thanks again for talking me into to going to the poker run, it was a blast meeting everyone and hanging out on big dune!
