Hi guys,
I'm new to the site.
I am wondering if a guy was to make plans to hit one event this year which would you reccommend? I live in Victoria, BC so with the costs involved for me to get down there, one event is about all that I could see myself getting to. I would like to have half decent weather and also hit a time where the fish will be active.
Please let me know what you think, and also I guess I should ask if I would be welcome at one of your events? I don't know how you operate so I had better ask!
Thanks, in advance!
Steve

Hit Potholes in April for a really cool experience. Google Potholes and you'll see it's a real original place. Probably nothing like it in Canada.
All the Lake Washington tournaments are good bets for catching some fish... and it's not way to far from Canada. Good day trip for you I bet.
I'd encourage you to attend the Freeze your Bass Blast on Feb 19th which is a really laid back competition that you can register for on site that morning.
And with that said the WAFISH tournaments are some of the best times I've had around here and they have a great raffle too. (You can also register the morning of)
Welcome to the site!
Hope to see you out there!
I would really like to come down for a trip but for me to leave the Island with the boat I will have to spend about $150.00 before I even start driving down the freeway. Thean, it's another $150.00 to get back. These are what the ferries cost just to get me to the mainland! I won't be making more than 1 or 2 trips so I want to make the most of it and a day trip is out of the question, unless you all want to wait until around noon to start!
I hope to see you out there too!
Thanks!
Steve

It looks like this Potholes event in April is an invite only tourney. Any other ones that you could recommend?
With no time to prefish and new water I would probably try to stick to the months of May or June. If a cool experience is what you are after then I would also pick the June Potholes NW Bass event. You will probably never experience another lake like it and as Ron said you will probably be able to catch fish in all 3 stages.
Obviously Lake Washington is probably the closest and it is during the spawn but it isn't a place you can pick a bank and junk fish with the hopes of catching 5. Just my opinion. I would want to fish a place that has a lot of obvious godd stuff. Potholes probably has too much of that but at least you can stay engaged because everything looks so good; even if it isn't. It is also pretty cool to take off with 100 other boats if you have never done it before.

I agree with Ron and Josh. Potholes will offer you the biggest bang for the buck. Please feel free to give me a call if you should have questions about the June Northwest Bass event or for a general overview of competitive bass fishing in the Pac NW. I can be reached most time via cell. 509 499-8797.
Take good care.

P.S. As a rule, all of the guys on this site are more than willing and are always eager to help out another anlger. Welcome!!!!
Yeah... my bad. I thought Northwest Bass had Potholes in April. June would be even better!
