The Yo-Zuri Hybrid and P-Line Fluoroclear I've used floats like a mono.
Hi Joe, not all copolymer lines are created equal in their materials and construction, which can lead to variability in their buoyancy. However, as a general rule of thumb, copolymer lines have a tendency to be more buoyant, sometimes significantly more, than a 100% fluorocarbon. Can you provide any insight as to the specific copoly and the particular application you are inquiring about?
Your copolymer question may be unrelated, but if you are curious about the best line for spybaiting, I would go with the lightest possible 100% fluorocarbon, due to its sinking properties, to achieve the most direct angle to the lure and to also maximize the action. I'm no professional spybaiter, never thrown one, just my humble opinion based on the physics and hydrodynamics.
I'm just curious. I've used Flouroclear and Mean Green, just wondering if the coating made the line sink any faster.
