You didn't send me an e-mail. If you left a message on my page I probably didn't see it.
Sorry if you got your feelings hurt.
Troy Pattillo said:Interesting Eric, I hollered at you on your page over a month ago about fishing together and never heard a peep.
Eric DeLay said:It was pretty late when I posted this topic so sorry that I didn't put your name on the list Chad. I would include you on the list of elite anglers that are members here.
There are a lot of other guys on WaFish who are either really good or think they are really good so maybe the auction should be open to anyone who wants to do it?
I would volunteer but the deafening silence when my turn came up would pretty embarrassing. I mean, what if I got stuck fishing with Cody and raised one dollar for the site? How bad would that be?
Chad Simon said:How about bidding on the opportunity to fish with a seahawks cheerleader or something like that instead? Kinda like how the seahawks charity tournament works. If you can pull that off Eric, I will be down there ready to max out my credit cards. If I come to the scales with no fish everyone would understand, right?
"Can we get some serious replies to this idea you clowns"
Am I the only one that found that funny? Eddie Haskel is back and he is upset that noone will take him serious.
Eric DeLay said:Seriously though, I thought it sounded like a fun idea.
The silent auction part is a good idea too.
I have fished with Ron Hobbs a few times and Mike Wolsky once and obviously Besty a bunch of times and I guarantee that ANYONE here would learn a bunch from any one of the guys I listed.
Can we get some serious replies to this idea you clowns?
Shoot Delay has a pretty pimp ride from what it sounds like. I don't know if I would be a huge fan of ridding in a Triton with a 300hp, but a pretty big step up from what I drive. I bid $10.
PJ how does it sound to sell raffle tickets a buck a piece and have a few guys volunteer to be the prizes. Have raffle tickets with buckets with different guys names on it put your tickets in the anglers bucket you want to fish with, then it is not a battle over bucks but rather luck of the draw, everyone who wants one gets a free ticket. After that there could be a draw for everyone else that needs a partner. I think it would benefit members if it was a draw tourney over a team format, also if it was co anglers versus co anglers and captains versus captains. This way guys would learn alot more, the only problem would be having the same number of boaters versus non boaters.

Mostly the parts when we were going 50mph through the dunes I was holding on. I was trying to navigate him to some spots back behind big dune and we were going so fast my landmarks were flying by so fast I couldn't keep up. Eric is a great driver though, very safe and I respect him for not babying his boat and driving timid even on a body of water like Potholes that he has little experience on. We also caught fish that day, not a ton, but a few good ones.
As for this topic I'd love to fish with Ron, Marc, Mike, Tag, Jordan... but unlike most of you I am a poor college student who has yet to get a pay check large enough to make a boat payment and afford car insurance in the same month... It's a great idea though Eric! I'll start saving my change and allowance ;)

I know Marcantonio probably would be up for it if his schedule allowed.
Mike Lukjanowicz said:Ron, good call, I was just going to suggest this type of format. Everyone will have the opportuinty to to spend what thier budget allows comfortably, and still have a real chance at the opportunity to fish with a "local legend".

Great idea. Much better than DeLay's idea. A draw tourny for those who want to fish with a star and if anyone wants to show up as a team, thats fine too.
