lamiglas excel rods, abu garcia vendetta rods, st croiz mojo bass rods

Im looking for two rods for my bday in july and was wondering what the best of those three or anyother suggestions you guys have. I would be using them to throw soft jerks and also senkos and bigger texas rigs. I would be pairing them with pfluger president spinning reels. Thanks

Austin, I'm not the bass master here, but from experience, I use the Lamiglas Excel series and have used the vendetta, I like the Excel better. Seems to have a little better sensitivity. I've only have 2 of the spinning rods and use them for drop shotting, but their casting rods are great for the price. Hopes that helps a little, good luck.
You won't be disappointed in the Excel XL 704 S. It'll have plenty of power for getting a good hook set on the Texas Rig (TR) stuff and senkos. With that said I use the Drop Shot rods for most of my Wacky rig senko fishing in depths less that 15 feet with line less than 10lbs. 7' gives you plenty of line pull for getting the hooks into the fish but I would definitlely step up to the 704 for heavier texas rig applications and flukes. I think a good solid hook set is very important with Texas Rigs.

I use Lamiglas rods exclusively now and have for the past 5 months. They have great customer service, are a local Washington state company and make a quality product for a reasonable price... they have my thumbs up!
Definately an Excel. Its an American made rod, and in my belief is the most sensitive and balanced rods in the $100 price range. I would go with the 704 or 703 spinning, Just like Johnny said.
I have the 703 Excel and it is a great rod and very light. Sensitive and good for fishing weightless Senkos for sure. I am sad to say that I am going to be selling it because I do not find the handle comfortable. It is the only new age spinning rod with no fore grip that I have and it is very difficult for me to fish it comfortably. I am picking up a traditional full cork St Croix to replace it. I have nothing bad to say on Lami they are amazing and I currently fish 5 of their rods and have no complaints.
Lamiglas Excel, for sure.

ciao,
Marc
PJ, Have you called down to Lamiglas and seen what they have in their bargain barrell? You could probably pick up a traditional certified Pro lamiglas Spinning rod for a discounted price if the brand new ones are to pricey for you. It might be a little scratched or something but the blank is where the money's at. I'm not sure if they ship those but I've been in the store when I'm passing through the area and picked up some great deals in the past. Just tell them your looking into the St. Croix and I'm sure they'll hook you up to get the business... times are tough! Good luck!

I'll put a call in tomorrow Johnny thanks for the heads up!! I am a Lami guy but I just need an affordable spinning rod with a traditional handle.
I have 2 of the Vendetta rods and love em, light sensitive and strong.
Just like you.... well except the strong part.. LOL

BUT do agree for the money the Vendetta is a GREAT rod. I several of them and they compare to a much higher price rod.
