Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I wanted to give Rick Innocenti with www.questprotackle.com a shoutout for some killer service. I needed some gear last minute for the weekend that was out of stock at the local tackle shops so I figured I would see if Rick had some. I called him up on Sunday and indeed he did have them in stick so I ordered online and had the stuff at my doorstep Tuesday afternoon, plenty of time for the weekend. The best part is, I paid for UPS shipping, but Rick sent them US Postal Service. I opened the box and Rick had a note in there saying he knew that would get there faster through USPS and refunded the difference in cash! Awesome!

I encourage guys to take a look through his site and give him a shout if they need anything. I'm looking into getting a custom rod from Rick at some point after messing with Ron's custom dropshot rod.

Right on Jordan, thats good customer service. Wish more business's were like that.
I know Rick personally and know he would do whatever necessary to help a fellow angler in need. Especially a tournament guy.
However, there are a few other small bait companies in the NW that make it a point to service the bass angler. I may be blowing my own horn, but, MAD BASS has helped a few guys in need when called upon. MB doesn't get the notoriety the other NW bait cos. get due to not being personally involved in NW BASS or ABA, etc. Rick and Dan (sniper) both fish NW and get more recognition. If you are not familiar w/ MAD BASS check out www.madbassbaits.com or call via the # on the site. We also custom make various items not found on the site. There has been a few times when local anglers had needs and MB filled them pretty darn fast.
Our site will b making some big changes very soon and our bait line will be expanded and improved. Hope to hear from some u serous bass anglers. Oh! Also u Musky guys, we will be carrying a full line there as well.
Things that make you say hmmm??? Like why do you put a garlic scent on your tubes?

Chad,
You never cease to entertain me. I don't know you personaly but you do give me kick at times.
"Garlic" the bass's cat nip. Never fails..
Have you tried my tubes?? If so, you know the answer. If not, well, proof in the pudding kinda thang. Ask Johnny Walker.
Well.... not to hijack the thread.... as I don't personally know Rick very well and only met him in passing but I always hear great things and can attest that Quest Pro does support the NW Bass Circuit whole heartedly.

About the Tubes.... Those tubes are pretty darn good... Fish don't let go once they taste them. I had a fish swim around for 50 seconds holding the tube in it's mouth with the hook cut off during prefish for a tournament. Real Craw with a hint of garlic seems to be a favorite of Bass... they also really hold the smell and alleviate adding scent for a number of hours.

Sometimes you can catch them on a corn dog but I favor a Tube....

They have my endorsement Chad...
Talk about world's greatest hijacks, takes shameless plug to a whole new level!
Maybe I should have done that more often!

Call it what you will. Yet, to call it a hijack is pretty harsh.
I give credit where due and Rick deserses it.
However, when you are a small biz, on the East side (most on the site are from the West side) and need recognition, you get it any way you can, providing you do it with some creativity. I don't have the connections Quest or Sniper has.
WAFish is a great forum to take advantage of. I mean no harm, just want other anglers to know there other options out there. Why not brag a bit if you can back it up.
Unfair to slam a guy for trying to make inroads. How else would you have known about MB if not already?
Shawn,

After some reconsideration I feel maybe I did take advantage of the comments about Quest.
I would never want to take anything away from Quest or Rick. They are good people.
I simply took advantage of the forum and maybe should have been more thoughtful.
I need support for my bait line and should have been more considerate of what the forum was about. Maybe, I should encourage anglers that I have supported and helped, to make comments about my company and what we did to help them out. Only fair.
So, I want to apologize to Rick and you and other anglers that felt my comments were misplaced.
I have not taken advantage of all the stuff that Quest Pro offers but I had their rods in hand last year and they feel great and look even better!

Thanks Nick,

I'm not all that up on what WAFish offers for business advertising that supports the bass fishing industry.
I'll contact Jordan and check it out.
Thanks again for the heads up.
