I'd like to get some suggestions on some favorite replacement hooks for cranks. I'm looking for a good, reasonably priced hook that comes in a bulk pack.

Don't go skimpy......buy Basstar Spintech. You lose the most fish cranking, so I won't compromise with cheap/cheesy hooks.
I like Owner treble hooks. I have recently bought but have yet to try some of the Mustad KVD Triple Grips.  That guy who has his name on them seems to be pretty good at cranking so I am hoping they work alright.
I have bought a ton of Owner ST's but am going to try round bends again.  I plan to use the KVD triple grips because they look about perfect.  Gamakatsu EWG's aren't too shabby either.
I've always bought the Gamakatsu EWG's-6.79 for 12, I use a BPS crankin stick- 70 bucks, with these hooks and this rod you shouldn't lose too many fish.
I pretty exclusively use Gamakatsu Round Bend Trebles, size 4 if I remember correctly, and I love them. I have used some of the Mustad short shank trebles with no complaints, but I have more confidence in the Gamakatsus.
Gamakatsu Round Bends and Owner ST36's.

Gamakatsu NSB EWG's are my primary hook whenever they fit; but I also use Gammie Short Shank Round Bends and also 2X Round Bends; and occasionally a few others.

Last year I hooked about 15 smallies or so over 3lbs on crankbaits, and I think I lost 2, that I'm not sure I can say I would have landed on better hooks.  Caught a ton of smaller 2lb cookie cutter fish and didnt lose many at all on the "cheap" hooks.

I just put gami's on 12 DC-13's, but the only reason I did it was because I was bored, and because I wanted red hooks on a few of my baits.

While quality hooks can't hurt....I'm not sure its really that important.  Maybe others have a different experience that lends itself to the necessity of swapping out the hooks.

I'm only changing out the stock hooks that are rusty or bent. I also never have problems with loosing fish on cranks, as a matter of fact, I'm really trying to think of a time that I've had a fish come unbuttoned on a crank.....cant think of one right now. Only issues I've ever had is with not retying often enough when I'm burnin' em across rocks. I've lost nice fish from break offs because of that.

Snake, you know I agree with you 99% of the time.  However, I must argue that quality hooks are extremely important.  I suggest ALWAYS changing your stock treble hooks out and replacing them with premium trebles.  If you or John haven't been burned yet by running stock hooks, you will.

I agree with changing out for quality hooks on crankbaits, I have had first hand experience trying to push a dull treble hook back out my thumb when it got stuck past the barb on a bandit crankbait.  It would have gone much better had the hook been sharper.

I would really suggest changing em out. On most off the shelf cranks, the rear hook is also too small and should be replaced with a size 4 (same as the belly hook) as a rule of thumb, and the other hook is probably crappy. Spro is the only brand I don't change the hooks out on because they use Gamis.

If you want to be convinced that the trebles matter, throw a lipless on the River in spring. It should convince you pretty fast.
