Man that was a fun one. The weather really pulled through and made some great conditions. Pretty close between all the weights. Great job John and Charlie! Almost a 4lb average.... In February? Crazy!
Thanks to Evergreen Bass Club! I really enjoyed participating in this event. It was only my second tournament experience and I had a lot of fun fishing with Bess and the weather was amazing! Sadly we did not get the big bites but we did catch a number of fish and weighed a decent limit. We did all of our damage early on and then it was a grind the rest of the day. Congrats to those who finished up top 11lbs for 3 fish in Feb is just insane :) I look forward to possibly fishing it again next year and I agree with DeLay that a week off limits could be beneficial.
I will also say that this event was a well run venue for an early season tournament. It was great to finally meet some of the guys from WAFISH and see some old friends. The weather was perfect fishing wasnt great but atleast we caught the limit 6.65lbs and wish we could have figured it out but thats fishing.

The Phoenix we rode in drove like a champ and Maderos and I had several good laughs.
It was great to see everyone out there again. Willie and the Evergreen Bass Club did a great job again putting this tournament on and I look forward to it again next year.

Chris and I started the day on fire as many other teams did as well. The morning bite was killer for us, putting 4 fish in the boat in the first 30 minutes. From there, the bite slowed down substantially. We hooked a fish around 11:30 and another around 1:00, but they came unbuttoned, the bite wasn't quite right and it didn't feel like the fish were committing all the way on those two. It wasn't until 1:45 that we pulled up on a new spot and caught two more fish in a matter of ten minutes or so. One was a chunk 3+lber that helped us upgrade about a half pound. Ended up with 10.35lbs with a big fish of 4.39lbs. Most of our fish came in the 35-40 foot range and we caught them on assorted plastics with 1/2oz to 1oz football heads. Thought the dropshot bite might turn on with the blue bird skies and calm water, but not for us.

Did anyone end up catching them on a dropshot tourney day?
Did anyone else notice that most of the twelve anglers in the top six teams are WaFish members?
I think that is pretty cool.
I also am suspicious that Walter Bell's partner was not named Mary.
That was one ugly Mary.

Did anyone weigh (or cull) a largie? That was a great turnout for a Feb tournament, great job Evergreen Bass Club! Potter, I didn't recognize you with the shaved head man!wi
As far as I know there were no LM weighed or caught. My head has been cleanly shorn for years but I always wear a hat.

Potter and I were disappointed that we didn't beat Bess and PJ worse than we did. We figured we would beat them by 6lbs pretty easily.
With 17 days of pre fishing Eric you should have beat us worse. If it wasn't for Potter you would've been crushed.
That is cool Eric, I know for sure that Tom and Gabe are sneakers on the site too, how else would they have known about the wafish tournament?

It was cool to see the colors flying out there on a few guys too.

Missy,

You are walking on thin ice with me. I seriously doubt you would wnat me to post the private mesaages you have sent me. I think most would consider them solicitations rather than messages.
