I noticed for sure, going to pull a wild card for tomorrow morning based on warming trend. Good luck all!
Ummmm...uni slip knot? :)
My only opinion ever, the best forecast, when I get a kitchen pass outside of elk season!
I have a newborn or I would have been out looking for green fish. Thursday sure looked good and that big moon!
Rain and wind is back. Anyone out there night fishin ? haha.
Yeah too much rain n wind. I think they come up to metabolize in the sun. I saw 4 LMB in less than a foot when I went to get out of a snag at the end of Jan. I think all you need is bright sun. Just like if its 20 degrees outside and you're in the sun; you feel warmer. So do the fish. It's called ultraviolet radiation. It warms you, and the fish up the same way. Fish come up to the shallows to get ultraviolet radiation to help them metabolize the food they ate. They can't metabolize effectively if they're in freezing water. However, only a small percentage of fish do this on any given day. Most of the fish I saw on my graph were in 27+ ft

Last Thursday and Friday looked juicy when I spotted 50+ degrees each day. Wish I could have snuck out of work.
Tag.
That info right there came from a conversation I had with Danny Garret PhD; when he came to a club meeting, and did an awesome presentation. After the meeting he hung out with me for about an hour in the parking lot talking bass biology with me. That guy is a wealth of information. If you ever get a chance to chat with him, do it. He's a really nice guy too. One of the few guys working in the fisheries Dept. who is on the bass anglers side.
