Dobyns 736C - Has anyone used this rod before?

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for a flipping stick or at least a more stout pitching rod. Long story short, my grandpa knows the owners of a tackle shop in Oregon real well and I have a deal going where I can get a brand new Dobyns 736C for $120 (sells for $240)! It seems like it might be slightly short (7'3") for flipping but that is a tough price to pass up. Has anyone on this site ever used this rod before? What did you think of it? Thanks!

Took My Dad Fishing for Salmon

Dad’s Fishing Derby (as he calls it)

I took my dad fishing for salmon this past Friday. He didn’t want to go fishing initially but much to my pleasure and surprise, he changed his mind.

My son's MONSTER..

Here is a piggie my son caught while we were out today it is 7.2 non triploid rainbow

and he hooked it himself. I miss the bass but this sure helps fill the void.

Fishing and Well-Being Survey.

I am taking an english/positive psychology course (not my choice...)at WSU and have to do a research paper. If you guys could fill out this survey ASAP, it would be a huge help. New paintjob

Wanted to plug for my buddy down in CA that painted for me, and also fishes my Pstix. This is a carp pattern on an 8" Tru. If anyone is interested let me know. He does lots of paintjobs and also does a blog on tackletog.com
