Lake Chelan Fishing Report

We started fishing the Southshore of the "Trench" in the lower basin of

Lake Chelan today to catch a dandy laker to start the day. The bite was

slow so I decided to go deep or go home..

Glad I went deep..The bite was real steady in the heart of the trench

for laketrout in this location. The Ace Hi-fly baited with the "Secret

Sauce" was the ticket today..

Keep your presentation 1 to 3 ft off the bottom to be productive..Vary your speed between 1.1 and…

Lake Chelan Fishing... June 6th, 2010

Today was a repeat of my last outing on Lake Chelan by targeting the

big arches on Mack Bar, except this time the fish cooperated well

today..had 15 hits the first 2 hours with the Big fish tipping the scale

at 12lbs. 11 oz.

I trolled the Ace Hi-Fly and a new rig that I have come up with..Wiggle

fin disc in front of a double mooching rig baited with a strip of

herring or other fish..This has been real productive for me when

everything else don't seem…

Lake Chelan Fishing

This morning was a very quick start the first hour with 10 hits and

boating 4 nice Laketrout on Mack Bar. Then the bite slowed as the

morning progressed. I trolled the Ace Hi-fly again with scented bait

strips 1 to 3 ft from the bottom at speeds od 1.2 to 1.4 mph. A big

thanks to Erik Felch, Steven Felch, Michael Felch and Mark Dalen for

fishing with me today.…

Great Fishing on Lake Chelan Today...

Today was a great day of catching on Lake Chelan for the Laketrout on

Mack Bar..We started fishing at 7:00 am and I think it took 10 minutes

and boated the first Laketrout.

Ended the day with 14 total and successfully releasing a 18lb. 3 oz. and

next in line we did keep a 11lb. 11 oz.

The Ace Hi-fly was the trick again today..I kept hammering away at the

suspended arches on The Bar to knock um dead..trolling speed was at

1.4mph and the depths that… Continue

Lake Chelan Fishing

Lake Chelan continues to produce nice Lake trout in the lower Basin of Lake Chelan.I have been trolling the Ace Hi-fly by Silverhorde to be most productive. The kokanee have showed up but it is real disappointing on the size of them this year..I think that the biggest kok that I have boated was just under 9 inches..I do have hopes that the bigger Kokanee will still show up. It is very strange to me that they are small this year and don't understand how last years fish were averaging over 12… Continue

Lake Chelan Fishing

Today was different from yesterday..My Father had a saying that he used a lot when we were out fishing..We would catch fish in one area one day and then go there the next day and not get a bite he would say "Boys Chicken 1 day and feathers the next"..This is exactly what happened today..

Found all my fish off Rocky Point today instead of the Trench. It was like they just said we have had enough and it was time to move..Trolled the Ace Hi-fly again to…
