Keep it simple.......don't over analyze things. Follow your gut and go fishing. Fish your strengths and don't try a new technique (if someone tells you that is how he caught em)if you are not comfortable with it.....beacause he probably lied to start with !!!!!!!

sometimes " not think but keep casting" is very important but to think abouth how to get a fish is very essential step to get a huge one.

Don't be afraid to try new things, be versatile, and practice your casting. A bad day on the water is still casting practice in my mind.

Go fishing with Mike Bess. See picture of me for the reason why.

My tip. Don't fish with me even to save your ass! I can't find fish to save my own let alone your too. Oh, and check your knot often and re-tie as needed.

I am not experienced as far as age or tournement experience, but my biggest piece of advice is slow down! I don't mean fish just slow baits or don't put the hammer down on the throttle, just be mythotical and slow when putting the pieces together and reacting. There may be instances when you actually do have to slow the worm or jig down physically, but it's when you get flustered and careless for whatever reason, that problems happen because you tend to end up in hyperdrive. Trying to keep calm and level headed is especially hard for me in the heat of the moment because I am young and passionate, and I'm the first to admit it, but I just tell mysef to stay cool and slow down.

If youre asking about tips for people who are somewhat new to bass fishing I would have to say that choosing and using proper gear is essential. I have seen many new bassers try to get by with old trout gear and if they do get bit, and happen to feel it, they can not get a hook set. My best tip for more experienced anglers would be to not listen to all the dock talk and get wrapped up in what others are doing, go with your gut and fish your water...
